Drive Heads
ROTATION HEADS FOR DIFFERENT DESIGNS
These heads support all the axial load generated by the weight of the string shafts, it supports the force generated by the rotor downwards, product of the action of pumping that is generated when operating the pump and in addition the weight provoked by the Column of fluid on the rotor. This equipment is the one that receives the power generated by the motor and transfers it to the string string to drive the rotor of the PCP pump in the background. One of the most important functions of the rotating head is to prevent the rotation of the string strings counterclockwise, since it could unscrew one of the strings and lose all the completion of the well, in view of that the head has a system (Mechanical or hydraulic) which purpose is to provide safety by stopping the reverse rotation of the chain string that could be caused by stopping the production of the well.
ROTATION HEAD WITH PULLEY AND BELT
They are mechanical equipment installed directly in the head of the well and its function is mainly to transmit the rotational movement of the gearmotor to the chart of slings. It also supports the axial load of the rods, and creates the seal for the fluid produced at both the wellhead and the polished bar. These devices are used when power requirements of 60 HP or greater are required
